Gov. James C. Justice II

Jim Justice turned a love for his native West Virginia into an opportunity to serve its citizens as the state’s 36th governor. He credits his time in Scouting with teaching him how to be a good citizen.

In addition to his career in public service, Jim has built a portfolio of extensive holdings that include coal mining, farming, timber, golf courses, storage, equipment, and dealerships. Among his properties is the historic Greenbrier, best known as America’s Resort.

Jim is dedicated to improving the lives of children. He has been president of Beckley, WV Little League since 1992 and has coached youth basketball teams for more than 25 years. He even dons a custom-made Santa suit each Christmas and delivers gifts to impoverished children in West Virginia.

Why I give...

“It is rare to be presented with an opportunity to impact so many lives. The Summit Bechtel Reserve will bring youth and families from all over the country—even the world—to West Virginia for a meaningful experience and incredible adventure.”
