Read Here If You Love Shooting Sports, Adventure Areas Part 3

Are shooting sports one of your favorite Scouting activities?

If so, you are positively, 100 percent going to want to check out the Adventure Area for shooting sports at the 2013 jamboree at the Summit Bechtel Reserve.

Why, you ask?

Well, because not only is it bigger than past jamboree experiences, it’s better. Much better.

Shhh, We’ll Let You In On A Little Secret

Well, maybe not a secret, but we think it’s one of the coolest things around!

At the jamboree, Scouts will be able to participate in a new activity, skeet shooting with arrows. This activity uses specially designed arrows that rise quickly, and then fall back to the ground, while discs are shot into the air as targets.

Cool, huh?

More. That’s What We Are Shooting For

And more firearms isn’t the only thing that makes the shooting sports Adventure Area better than ever. Picture 150 – 160 different shooting stations, spread out over a 60-acre course.

That’s huge.

And to make sure this course is top of the line, we brought in Mike Davey, world-class shooting range designer from the Shooting Academy in Phoenix, Arizona, as the lead designer of the Summit’s shooting range.

Check out our post “Fired Up At The Summit,” to see some specific details about the shooting sports activity area from Mr. Davey, himself!

Keep checking with us, as more updates are released!
